who are we?
My name is Charlie Radigan and I am the founder and owner of Solar Makes Cents LLC. I have had solar on my home and on my church for a number of years.
I am an Eagle Scout and I have always cared about conservation and protecting our environment. I have also spent most of my career as a bond trader and financial advisor. I am retired now but, I still have a thorough understanding of investing and economics. I know how to seek out, research, analyze and take advantage of great investments! That opportunity is waiting on top of the roof of your home, church or business. From an investment standpoint, the time is right to go solar! |
Environmentally, we know the time for action is way past due!
As an investor, your annual rate of return from your solar electric system is simply measured by your annual savings on your electric bill divided by the net amount you paid to install the system. It’s probably time to mention that Uncle Sam has decided it wants to pay 30% of your installation cost! This Federal incentive is paid in the form of a tax rebate or as a direct payment from the Treasury if you are a non-profit like a church.
Just as an example: If you save $2,400 a year ($200 per month) on your electric bill and your net cost of installation is $20,000 ($30,000 - $10,000 federal incentive) your return on investment is $12%! How have your other investments been doing lately? The cool thing is that you have locked in the cost of that portion of your electric usage for the next two decades! Your Rate of Return will increase, as we know the electric company is going to raise rates every year!
My goal is to simply introduce you, your business or your church to this concept and to get you on your way to going solar. I will introduce you to solar design and installation companies, who I have relationships with, will pay me a finder’s fee and who I am confident will install a great system at a fair price.
I want to be your solar advocate, advisor and project concierge. Together we will figure out if this investment makes sense for your application.
